Service Writer

Overview:
At Midas, we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis, and repair utilizing the expertise attained through years of automotive repair experience. We are looking for an automotive service writer who is able to work independently of others, while also being able to work collaboratively at times with peers. We have a full-service facility and we are looking for automotive technicians to help us create an environment of success
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Service Writer to join our team. As a Service Writer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing automotive repair orders, and ensuring efficient communication between customers and our service department. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our dealership.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers and assist them with their service needs
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document them on repair orders
- Provide estimates for repairs and communicate them to customers
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicles throughout the repair process
- Recommend preventative services or maintenance packages to customers
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an automotive dealership or repair shop
- Strong knowledge of automotive repairs and maintenance procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
- Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 45 per week

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- service advisor: 1 year (required)
