The Department of Education, Community Engagement and Cultural Programs provides a wide program of activities to various audiences primarily school and community groups, as well as tourists. Activities are presented by a team consisting of approximately 5 volunteer mediators and approximately 10 cultural mediators.

Under the supervision of the Head, Education, Community Engagement and Cultural Programs, the incumbent will be responsible for planning and coordinating all activities related to the logístical support of the mediation team.

**Main Tasks**

**Team management**
- Develop bi-monthly work schedules based on mediation staff bookings and availability, while respecting the collective agreement.
- Monitor and approve time sheets for mediation team
- Plan training for mediation team (scheduling, distribution of documents and coordination with internal and external trainers)
- Participate in the recruitment, training and evaluation of salaried and volunteer mediation team
- Ensure general communications and program follow-up with the mediation team
- Draft various reference documents and procedures to support the work of the mediation team
- Implement the tools and resources required by the mediation team to carry out its mandate
- Ensure the overall quality of the visitor experience and verify that the tasks assigned to the team are carried out.

**General coordination**
- In collaboration with the person in charge of group reservations, respond to the needs of groups and make the necessary adjustments
- Organize and communicate the logistics of on-site, off-site and virtual activities, and follow up on changes
- Ensure the supply, preparation and maintenance of materials
- Compile activity statistics and volunteer hours; produce various reports
- Provide support to the Museum Day Camp Manager (logistics, planning, accreditation, etc.)
- When necessary, provide supervision and presence at certain educational, cultural or family activities.
- When necesary, support project managers in implementing activities
- From time to time, follow up with certain partners and ensure the logistics of certain activity programs.

**Qualifications and Profile Required**
- College diploma (DEC) in administration, human resources or academic equivalence; AEC or certificate in cultural mediation an asset
- Two (2) years' experience in a similar role coordinating teams and volunteers; all combinations of studies and experience will be considered
- Ability to establish positive interpersonal relationships
- Leadership: ability to lead and motivate staff, and work as part of a team
- Sense of responsibility and autonomy; ability to propose solutions; public speaking skills; effective communication skills
- Sensitivity to issues of inclusion and audience experience
- Fluency in French and functional English (spoken and written);
- Interest in the themes addressed by the Museum.
