**Position**:Elders Coordinator

**Division/Department**:Administration

**Salary**:$20-$22 per hour

**Type of Position**:Temporary term employment (1 year)

**Hours**:Monday to Friday 08:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 37.5 hours/week. Occasional evenings and weekends.

**General Description**:
**Responsibilities**:

- coordinates day-to-day activities including scheduling Elder welcomings’, blessings, and speaking engagements
- organizes agendas, minutes, food, materials, and space for meetings, workshops, and events
- coordinates activities related to the society’s strategic plan
- supports governance of the society
- develops respectful and effective partnerships/relationships with LTFN departments and external stakeholders as needed to support integrated/coordinated service delivery
- as requested, assists in the delivery of health and wellness promotion and injury prevention programs
- performs other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Must have clean criminal record and be able to supply it upon job offer
- Minimum graduation from high school (Grade 12). Post-secondary education is preferred
- Knowledge of Lheidli community, culture, and language is an asset
- Ability to create inclusive, welcoming environments to support community cohesiveness
- Experience working with Elders and aging populations
- Experience arranging meetings, workshops and events an asset
- Must have a current and valid class 5 BC Driver’s license
- Available to work some evenings and weekends, and available for regularly scheduled hours Monday to Friday
