**COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH WORKER**

**Full Time Contract**

**How You Will Make an Impact**

The HOMES program provides supportive housing to persons who have been homeless and are living with a mental illness. Team members support tenants and provide mobile support to individuals and assist in helping them reach personal goals and to have a satisfying and meaningful life in the community.

In this role, you will work to make a difference in lives of community members. Services include assessment, planning, crisis prevention and intervention, and supportive counseling.

Responsible for participating in Good Shepherd's Health and Safety programs, procedures, procedures and work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations to minimize risk to clients, staff and others as well as to the property of the Good Shepherd

**What You'll Bring to Our Team**
- A post-secondary education in social or health services
- A minimum of three years' experience in mental health, and concurrent disorders is required
- 'Recovery orientation' and 'consumer driven' style of practice is essential
- Possess the ability to work independently and think creatively
- Ability to speak French and/or other languages considered an asset
- CPR certification or willingness to be certified is required
- Adhere to working and operating within an anti-racism and anti-oppression framework
- ** Must be available to work rotating and varying Days and Evening shifts and 1 in 5 weekends. 37.5 hours per week**:

- Must have a valid drivers license
- Demonstrated understanding of workplace health and safety practices and understanding of an employee's responsibility under current legislation
