League Convenor

**Job Summary**
The D-League is looking for positive, team-oriented League Convenors with excellent communication skills. As a League Convenor, you will consistently provide exceptional customer experiences and support the league’s operations.
**Duties**:
- Possess and develop a working knowledge of current league rules (Canada Soccer/Ontario Soccer/The D-League)
- Maintain a working knowledge of online software, including customer features, administrative tools and processes.
- Using the online software, communicate important information to the League Manager.
- Develop a working knowledge of suspension guidelines and processes and assist with the assessment, communication and enforcement of suspensions.
- Develop and maintain proficient computer skills in CRM (E2E)
- Assist with the execution of prizing presentation
- Ensure players complete a waiver prior to participation
- Liaise with team reps, referees and spectators as required
**Experience**:
- Strong knowledge of soccer rules (essential)
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills (previous experience preferred)
- Outgoing, positive and team-orientated with great communication skills
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours (evenings & weekends)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office software (particularly Excel and Word)
**Education and Qualifications**:
- Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search may be required
- Working towards formal education Sports/Leisure Administration field (preferred)
- Basic First Aid, CPR and AED certification (preferred)
**LOCATIONS**:This role will take place at various sport facilities in Mississauga.
**SHIFT TIMES**:All of our League Games take place on Saturdays and Sundays, so it should be expected that all of the available shifts will take place at those times.
- **ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT INFORMATION**:_
- Applicant Interviews: Ongoing Zoom interviews between Sunday, September 22nd, 2024, and Sunday, October 13th, 2024.
- Mandatory Availability - staff training: On Zoom Thursday, October 17th, 6-7pm.
- The start date is between Saturday, October 19th and Sunday, October 27th.
