**Your Opportunity**:
The Medical Device Reprocessing Department is currently hiring a Certified Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDRT) - Surgical Processor. We provide services to the Surgical/Endoscopy Suite, our hospital sites' programs and the Bassano Health Centre. You work 4 shifts per week, on a rotation M, T, W, T one week and M, T, T FT the following week. Working and living in Brooks is a great opportunity; the city of Brooks is only 1 hour away from Medicine Hat, 1.75 hours away from Lethbridge, and 2 hours from Calgary. Brooks and it's surrounding area has lots to offer anyone moving to this area: museums, Tillebrook Provincial Park, Dinosaur Provincial Park, the Aqueduct, golf, sports complexes, shopping and so much more. You must be certified by CSA or HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) to work as a MDRT in AHS facilities.

**Description**:
As a Surgical Processor, you will be responsible for the decontamination, reassembly and sterilization of hospital supplies, equipment and surgical instrumentation. You will use the principles of aseptic technique and follow Universal Precautions in the prevention of Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI). You will ensure instrumentation and equipment is in proper working order, perform biological, chemical and quality assurance testing and report problems to the supervisor or designate.

**Required Qualifications**:
