As a Chief Advisor, you will have a leading role in planning, executing, and reporting on key deliverables, including Risk and Control Assessments, continuous surveillance, action plan implementation, scenario analysis, and special projects. Your work will be instrumental in managing risk within Financial Markets.

**Your role**
- Act as a trusted partner and provide specialized expertise amongst Financial Markets Business Leaders and Support Functions leaders
- Develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders involved in the end-to-end Financial Markets business processes
- Perform walkthroughs and effectiveness testing of key controls in accordance with the Bank’s Operational Risk taxonomy
- Lead transversal investigations and influence business practices to ensure efficiency and reduce the sector's operational risk
- Support the Business Line in monitoring its action plans and implementing its corrective measures

**Your Team**

This position reports to the Director, Financial Markets Business Operational Strategy & Risk Management. This position can be based either in Montreal or Toronto. The team works in an environment where you can excel and collaborate with all sectors at the Bank. **Basic requirements**
- A completed bachelor’s or master's degree in a related field with between 8-10 years of relevant experience (i.e., operations, capital markets, audit, compliance, risk management)
- Expert knowledge of Financial Markets activities, products, and structures as well as the systems and processes that are supporting them
- Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate and influence at all levels
- Proven competencies to lead and manage complex files and projects
- Excellent priority management
- Strong demonstrated interpersonal skills (cooperation, mobilization, influence)
- Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will frequently interact with service providers or partners who speak a language other than French
