Lead Supervisor

**Duties & Responsibilities - **As the Lead Supervisor at Café Joyeux, you will be responsible for a variety of duties and responsibilities assigned by the café owners.

Tasks include;
- Providing support in all aspects of food preparation, quality control, and food display.
- Greeting and interacting with all guests
- Preparing beverages and food offerings
- Following food and drink batch recipes precisely and accordingly
- Maintaining coffee knowledge on current offerings and confidently and accurately communicating product information to customers
- Responding promptly to customer inquiries, orders, and concerns
- Demonstrating initiative to complete all daily and weekly checklists
- Upholding Café Joyeux standards regarding cleanliness throughout the café
- Following all policies and procedures laid out by Café Joyeux
- Attending training sessions and team meetings
- Assisting café owners during ad-hoc market events and special events
- Managing inventory levels and reordering supplies as needed
- Operating the cash register and POS system as well as take orders
- Performing opening shift duties, ensuring the front counters are fully stocked and well-presented
- Performing closing shift duties, cleaning, restocking, and general prep for the following morning.
- Understanding and learning the various menu items, including specials, in order to provide recommendations.

Experience and Attributes:

- Bilingual (French and English)
- Experience in hospitality and barista service is preferred.
- A cheerful, punctual, and professional demeanour
- A positive 'can-do' attitude combined with an upbeat personality
- Comfortable upselling, developing relationships, and holding conversations with customers

We provide a friendly, and fast-paced work environment, extensive training, and opportunities for growth and development. Full training will be provided for all aspects of cafe work, including front of house, food prep, and barista skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
