The Garden Centre and Seasonal Team Lead contributes to the success of the store by working in a fast-paced environment that involves constant interaction with customers to deliver friendly and courteous service. This role also involves maintenance of the Garden Centre and Seasonal Departments, merchandising, and general housekeeping.

Customer Service
- Encourages and maintains a culture that values an excellent customer experience to all customers through effective training, supervision, coaching and performance management.
- Handles multiple customers in an effective and efficient manner.
- Deals with challenging situations in a professional manner.
- Provides a strong floor presence and interfaces regularly with customers to assess customer experience.
- Leads by example by consistently delivering an excellent experience.
- Holds team members accountable for providing excellent customer service and maintaining housekeeping.
- Learns about new lawn, garden and seasonal products on a regular basis.
- Keeps up to date with in-store promotions, in-store deals and product locations.

Operations
- Works with our Garden Centre and Seasonal Manager to develop, motivate and recognize team members.
- Guides team to meet established objectives and targets for sales and profitability in the department.
- Plans, organizes, delegates and follows up on work and projects to achieve and measure department goals.
- Ensures that retail basics are executed efficiently (e.g. stocking, labels, facing, etc.)
- Maintains inventory accuracy and identifies/reports low stock levels.
- Operates computer and RF scanner, and enters all relevant coding in Canadian Tire systems.
- Completes other tasks, as required.
