Under the general direction of the Human Resources Division, the Office Pool Clerk will be responsible to perform a variety of responsibilities and tasks that are assignment specific. This position will not however, relieve in supervisory positions.

The Human Resources Division is responsible for determining the duration of each assignment and members of the Office Pool may be required to transfer offices and work assignments with little or no notice. As transfers occur, this position will report to the supervisor in charge of that particular area.

**As a Clerk A - Office Pool** **you will**:

- Provide administrative support as required specific to the temporary assignment
- Receive incoming telephone calls and direct to appropriate members
- Process and distribute incoming and registered mail
- Distribute various materials as required by electronic mail, fax, courier, or personal delivery
- Schedule meetings and appointments
- Other duties as required

**Your education and qualifications include**:

- Grade 12 Diploma; GED Certificate, or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to keyboard accurately, 40 words per minute
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, ability to exercise initiative and make sound decisions
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Possess good knowledge of general office procedures and practices
- Ability to plan and organize
- Ability to accurately maintain a variety of records, processes and systems
- Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals under varying circumstances
- The ability to establish and maintain a positive respectful, healthy work environment that supports the physical psychological and social working relationships with members at all levels in a team environment

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Minimum 18 years of age
- No involvement in any criminal activity within the last two years (including illegal drugs)
- No criminal record for which a Pardon has not been granted

**Conditions of Employment**:

- Ability to pass a level 3 Winnipeg Police Service security check and maintain clearance.
- Ability to successfully complete additional training as defined by the Service
- Prior to commencement of employment, the successful applicant will be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination by providing a Government of Manitoba issued QR code and photo identification or providing proof of an exemption from the COVID-19 vaccination approved by the Government of Manitoba.
