**_ Minimum Qualifications:_**
- Three-year diploma in Civil Engineering or combination of equivalent education and work experience
- Three to five years of relevant work experience in both a rural and urban development environment
- Dedicated to a high degree of professionalism and setting standards of excellence
- Proven communication, report writing and public relations skills
- Demonstrated project management, negotiation, organizational, analytical, supervisory and computer skills
- Working knowledge of various provincial and federal legislation, ie, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Protection, Municipal Acts, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, independently and safely.
- Valid class G driver’s license with acceptable driver’s abstract
**_Assets_**
- Certified Engineering Technologist designation, or ability to obtain this designation within one (1) year from date of employment.
**_Duties:_**
- Conduct daily site supervision and on-site inspections of County of Brant infrastructure and development related projects.
- Conduct municipal services inspections for entrance, storm, sanitary and water service connections within the municipal right-of-way for development related projects.
- Assist with the review of Site Plans submitted in support of Building Permits, as well as Lot Grading Certificates, as it relates to the Lot Grading Review process.
- Respond to resident concerns regarding development related projects.
- Provide technical direction regarding municipal engineering matters.
- Liaise and negotiate with various government agencies, consultants, applicants, developers, the public and other departments providing advice regarding development services projects.
- Assist with the evaluation of system capacities and development engineering/field services processes.
- Facilitate the provision of exemplary customer service
- Other duties as assigned
**Annual Salary**: $76,768 to $89,799 (Job Grade 7) 35 hours per week
