Rentco Equipment Ltd. is a fast-paced local company that has been servicing the Peace Country for over 55 years. We provide construction, oilfield, and homeowner equipment and consumables in the area.

Our Peace River branch has been in business since 1980 and currently employs 14 staff members.

We are currently looking to add another full-time Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician to our Service department.

As the Journeyman HET, you are responsible for:

- Driving Rentco’s service truck to customer locations for diagnosing and repairs
- Troubleshooting and completing diagnostic repairs
- Completing the installation of new and added on equipment
- Cleaning, lubricating, and other maintenance work
- Ordering replacement equipment, parts, and supplies
- Maintaining a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques

You have the following skills and education:

- Red Seal Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician
- Class 5 drivers’ licence with a clean abstract
- First aid, H2S, Hours of Service tickets would be an asset
- Experience working on Bobcat equipment, loaders, generators, man-lifts, etc.
- Knowledge of power, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to be flexible and to work well under pressure

You can work in the following conditions:

- 40 hours a week plus on-call and overtime when required
- Working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, both at our shop and at customer locations
- Working with your hands and lifting heavy objects
- Working while wearing PPE required including steel-toed boots and safety glasses
