Halifax, Canada Lighten Up Organizing & Cleaning Full time

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work one-on-one with clients suffering from Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Hoarding Disorder, Brain Injury, Schizophrenia, PTSD, Trauma, grief process and other conditions.
- Assist in sensitively sorting and managing personal items after the loss of a loved one, guiding clients in distinguishing between items to discard, recycle, regift, sell, or donate.
- Support seniors in downsizing from a larger home to a smaller one, more manageable living space as they transition to a new stage of life.
- Design and implement comprehensive organization systems for physical paperwork, as well as digital files including photos, documents, and desktop items, ensuring easy access and maintenance.
- Act as a personal assistant, including grocery shopping, running errands, banking, and accompanying clients to appointments.

**Areas of Specialization**:

- Attics, Basements, Home Offices, Garages, Sheds
- Kitchens, Bathrooms, Bedrooms, Living Rooms, Dining Rooms, Closets
- Boats, RV’s, Tiny Homes.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 3 years of professional organizing and decluttering experience.
- Holds a diploma in Human Services Counseling or a higher relevant qualification, with demonstrated experience compassionately supporting individuals with diverse mental health conditions.
- Exceptional empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 10-15 per week

**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Halifax, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
