**Manager, Charging Systems & Controls**

Responsible for providing engineering support to Regional Directors, Regional Product Support Managers, Technical Solution Managers in the resolution of Customer issues.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:

- Overall management of the Charging Systems & Controls - Service Engineering Group.
- Responsible for setting and maintaining department goals (and supporting budget as required).
- Provide the Customers and Field Operations staff with pertinent technical information in a timely manner.
- Support the Service Engineering Specialists (SESs) to ensure timely resolution of field concerns to reduce continued warranty failure expense and to corporate exposure to repeat problems. This includes adequate follow-up with all supporting departments and suppliers.
- Supervise the SESs to ensure proper documentation is produced to support RPSM’s to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Feed Engineering Dept. and all other relevant departments with FSAR/Warranty information to ensure that the problems found on a particular customer’s coaches are not repeated on future orders. This information must be kept accurate, up to date, and available electronically to all applicable departments.
- Field testing and reporting to determine the root cause of issues in the field from minor to high profile issues within the company.
- Working with the SESs, complete and publish Technical Services Information Bulletins (TSIBs) on an as-required basis.
- Participate in as well as chair customer meetings as required.
- Work to ensure processes are as lean as possible within Service Engineering and Warranty
- Ensure Service Engineering Metrics are up to date and being actioned.
- Responses must be immediate to customers, especially on fleet defects.
- Keep up with the FSARs, ROs, by supporting the Team Leaders and ensuring they are working off the metrics and reacting accordingly.

**WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL**:

- Excellent technical aptitude with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma or a combination of equivalent education and engineering leadership experience will be considered.
- Registered (or eligible to be registered) as a Professional Engineer or Certified Engineering Technologist.
- Exceptional customer service experience and problem solving skills.
- Proven leadership and project management experience.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Oracle, MS Office, MS Project, and related software tools.
- Motivated self-starter with high level of initiative.
- *Travel up to 20% between Canada and the US is required for this position*_
