Bit Setter

Reporting to the Setting Room Supervisor, the Bit Setter is an entry level position within our Bit Setting Team. You will be required to perform duties that require detailed and precise movement with your hands, attention to fine detail, and the ability to focus on the same task for long periods of time.

**Responsibilities**:

- Setting carbide inserts and/or diamonds into graphite moulds.
- Weighing and mixing metal powders as required.
- Performing quality checks according to the product specification and work order.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work as part of a team.
- Maintaining tools in clean and proper condition.

**Qualifications & Requirements**
- High school diploma or GED (General Educational Development).
- Ability to wear the required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as per company policy.
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.

**Hours of Work**
- Monday to Thursday, 10-hour shifts.
- Ability to work overtime as requested.
- Flexibility to accept different shifts in the future as required.

**Working Conditions**
- Extended periods of sitting - stretch breaks encouraged.
- Working in a busy manufacturing environment with frequent interruptions.
- Minor exposure to dust, graphite and metal powders.
- Pre-employment medial assessment will be required.

**Compensation Package**
- Starting salary: $16.00 / hour.
