Waterslide Attendant (Part Time)
Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton

**Salary**: $15.00/hr - $17.85/hr
Start Date: Immediately

What qualifications are we looking for?

Bronze Cross Certification

Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certificated within the last 12 months from an approved AB OHS provider. Asset if certification is issued by one of the following five Canadian organizations: Canadian Red Cross, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Lifesaving Society, St John's Ambulance and/or Canadian Ski Patrol.

Instructor certification (YSI, LSI, WSI) considered an asset?

National Lifeguard - Pool (NL - Pool) considered an asset

Evidence of a clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search

Three professional references.

What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?

Duties and Responsibilities include:
Supervises the operation and safety of the waterslide

Tell patrons when they are allowed to go, after confirming the water slide and flume are clear from previous patron

Monitors the general safety and maintenance of the pool deck, change rooms, and associated areas, and either reports concern to the appropriate staff member or directly address the concerns

Complete maintenance tasks as needed

Conducts routine inspections of the facility’s public areas and equipment to ensure customer safety

Work as a cooperative part of the staff/volunteer team

Attends association in-service training
