Prefabricated Joinery Assembler Foreman/woman

**Overview**

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Effectively manage a crew of 8-10 employees in a manufacturing environment.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety rules and procedures.
- Assign specific tasks to crew members, train and mentor crew, and monitor the work to ensure quality work is performed.
- Pre-plan work and advise the General Manager as to labour and material needs.
- Oversee the execution of the work and ensure adherence to shop drawings.
- Visually inspect completed work, list deficiencies and ensure that they are corrected.
- Supervise crew in a manner that meets work schedules and addresses issues in a manner that improves efficiency.

**Qualifications**:

- 2 - 5 years Supervisory experience - ability to coordinate and manage a crew of employees.
- Experience with wood framing.
- Experience with, or ability to learn to use computerized saws and wood working equipment.
- Excellent detail towards safety and safe working practices.
- Effective leadership and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team setting.
- Valid driver’s license.
- WHMIS
- First Aid an asset.
