**About us**

**Position**:
Full Time Landscaping-Maintenance Foreman (i.e. Harvester)

The landscaping-maintenance foreman is required to lead a team of 2-5 people with the objective of performing maintenance services on client’s properties. The lawn-maintenance services to be delivered include: seasonal clean-ups, weekly or biweekly-lawn cutting and trimming, mulch installations and garden bed maintenance (ex. removing weeds for designated garden-beds). The vast majority of the time it will be the same properties for the entire duration of the season, however, there may be few exceptions to this trend. It is crucial that the maintenance foreman consistently performs to a high standard to keep the clientele satisfied and to maintain the hard-working, detail-oriented reputation of the company. The landscaping-maintenance foreman needs to be able to safely drive an F250 truck with an attached 7-ton trailer on a regular basis. Additionally, the landscaping-foreman, needs to be proficient in the operation of a zero-turn riding lawn mower as well as a gas-powered trimmer. Lastly, the landscaping-foreman should be able to teach these skills and other necessary skills to other team members in order to meet the high standard of performance. The landscaping-maintenance foreman may have an opportunity to lead 1-2 larger teams for both lawn maintenance and snow removal as the company grows.

**Pay**:
Year 1: 50% of total wage.

Year 2: 60% of total wage.

Year 3: 70% of total wage.

Year 4: 80% of total wage.

Year 5: 100% of total wage.

**Specific Role Qualifications and Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to**:
1. Supervising team members in maintaining client’s properties (ex. lawns, garden beds etc.)

2. Drives team members to client sites (using company vehicle; F250 with 7-ton trailer attached) on a weekly basis.

3. Drives zero-turn riding lawn mower to cut clients lawns in straight lines using an efficient-route strategy to save time, without compromising safety or quality.

4. Proficient in the use of basic tools such as level, hammers, drills, crowbar, shovel, pruner, root cutter, wheelbarrow etc.

5. Proficient is the use of the following safely & efficiently:

- Pressure washer
- Sander
- Blower
- Trimmer/Weed Wacker
- Edger
- Hedger
- Chainsaw
- Telescopic chainsaw
- Concrete Saw
- Stone Saw
- Compacter proficiently (with and without rubber pad)
- Circle Saw
- Table Wood-Saw
- Table Concrete-Saw
- Reciprocating Saw
- 2-man Auger
- Grinder (including changing the blade to cut different materials)

6. Performs routine checkups and maintenance on vehicles and tools, for example, adding chain oil to chain saw.

7. Able to prepare and maintain stock of resources needed to complete maintenance properties as planned on the schedule. For example, trimmer string precut to desired length, oil-gas premixed, vehicle and equipment wiped down, maintaining vehicle and equipment fuel-level etc.

8. Maintaining truck, vehicles and equipment in good condition to mitigate any risk of equipment malfunction and to ensure maximum longevity of all vehicles and tools.

9. Advise owner or admin of any maintenance that needs to be done well in advance to ensure no work-time is lost due to inefficiency of vehicles or tools.

11. Keeping foresight and communicating any expected shortage of supplies and materials to owner in a timely manner. This is to mitigate any project delays.

12. Ensuring all team members are correctly using all PPE’s (Personal protective equipment), and following all safety procedures when carrying out any given project.

13. Ensuring team members are working efficiently as well as taking their designated breaks.

14. Ensuring team members are following Mindscape Landscape’s Employment Policy (Rules and Regulations).

15. To take initiative and be proactive in the hiring process to hire new team member for the maintenance team. This may be necessary if more assistance is needed or if one of the team members can no longer perform on the team.

16. Be confidents in asking for extra assistance if needed.

17. Make all team members feel welcome while working in the company.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 7-9 months

Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 60 per week
