Lumber Trader

Responsibilities of a Lumber trader:
- Experience in sales and forestry is considered an asset.
- Continue to build on past and present relationships, while growing your network.
- Maintain accurate documentation of quotes, purchase orders and sales orders.
- Stay up to date of market trends and global economic factors impacting the lumber market.
- Work with logistics as well as other partners to ensure proper updates and timelines.
- Nurture long-term relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues in an ethical manner.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to commute to work as well as customer visits and trade shows.
Experience and Education:
- Proven experience as a lumber trader or in a similar role within the sales and client service industry.
- Knowledge of lumber grades, species, and market dynamics.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Capacity to analyze market trends and make informed decisions.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
- A Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
