**Responsibilities**

Carpenter’s duties shall include, without limitation, the following:
1. Knowledgeable in a variety of tasks including, but not limited to: caulking, painting, trim, drywall repairs, mudding, taping, sanding, installing window & door, installing flooring, ceramic tiles, laminate, kitchen cabinets, etc.

2. Experience in the use of hand and power tools including, but not limited to: caulking guns, mudding tools, drills, skill saws, etc.

3. Knowledge in back framing, framing repairs and new builds

4. Physical stamina for lifting equipment and working at various heights and in tight spaces

5. Experience with PDI’s and quality control and fixing deficiencies

6. Be able to work with little or no supervision

7. Complete all take offs

8. Be able to interpret architectural drawings

9. Attend weekly meetings with Senior Site Superintendent and project team

10. Be able to work with subtrades and project team

11. Ensure that all work is performed in good workmanship and have met the OBC

**Requirements & Skill**:
1. Proven experience as a Carpenter or other similar role

2. In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment & tools

3. Ability to read and understand architectural/structural drawings

4. Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently

5. Aptitude in math

6. Good problem solving abilities

7. Ability to work in a team and be a team player

8. Good physical condition & stamina

9. High school diploma or diploma in a skilled trade (electrician, carpenter, etc)

- Secondary school (required)
- Relevant Diploma (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)
- French (preferred)

**License**:

- Drivers License (required)

**Certifications**:

- WHMIS
- Fall Arrest
- Working In Tight Spaces (preferred)
- First Aid (preferred)

**Salary**: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Russell, ON K4R 1E5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

Work Location: In person
