**THE POSITION**

As the Data Analytics Lead, you will be responsible for implementing data-driven strategies and insights to optimize business operations, improve decision-making processes, and drive overall business growth. Your expertise will be instrumental in leveraging data analytics to enhance our understanding of customer behaviour, marketing effectiveness, revenue generation, and operational efficiencies. This key leadership role will contribute significantly to shaping our organization’s future success.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Establish and lead the Data Analytics Department, building a high-performing team of data analysts, data scientists, and other relevant roles.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data analytics strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives and goals.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, operations, and executive leadership, to identify and prioritize data analytics needs and opportunities.
- Design and implement data collection, integration, and storage processes to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and accessibility.
- Drive developing and implementing advanced analytics models, algorithms, and methodologies to extract actionable insights and drive data-based decision-making.
- Create and maintain data visualizations, reports, and dashboards to effectively communicate key findings and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop performance measurement frameworks to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of business operations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data assets' availability, integrity, and security, and facilitate seamless integration of analytics solutions into existing systems and processes.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous learning within the organization.

**THE INDIVIDUAL**
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 8 years) in data analytics, business intelligence, or a similar role, preferably within the sports and entertainment industry.
- Strong expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization using tools such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, or similar technologies.
- Preferred technical skillset: JIRA, Confluence, Sharepoint, PowerPoint, Azure, Microsoft Suite.
- Experience with data engineering tools such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, or Airflow. Familiar with data lake and lake house data architecture concepts.
- Create a Data Science and BI Roadmap.
- Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI and other BI tools.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team of data analysts or data scientists, with a track record of delivering high-quality analytics solutions.
- In-depth understanding of data management principles, including data collection, integration, cleansing, and governance.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to connect data analytics initiatives to overall business strategies and objectives.
- Experience with sports and entertainment industry data, such as ticket sales, fan engagement, customer segmentation, or revenue optimization, is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
- Ability to explain technical analyses to non-technical audiences
