Summary of Work:
The Ice Maintenance Technician/Parks Assistant will work as the Ice Maintenance Technician from
August 1 to March 31 each year and as a Parks Assistant from April 1 to July 31 each year. While working as the Ice Maintenance Technician, he/she is part of the team that ensures that the recrea on department, specifically the memorial arena for the Town of Killam is opera ng in an efficient and effec ve manner. As the Parks Assistant, he/she will work along side public works to ensure our parks are kept in an a rac ve and safe manner.

Hours of Work:
August 1 - March 31, hours to vary dependent on ice usage schedule. Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
April 1 - July 31, Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4pm

**Requirements**:
Preference given to residents of Killam and those having an Arena Operator Level 1 Cer fica on, or a willingness to obtain cer fica on as well as arena and ice maintenance experience is a bonus.
