Childcare Kitchen Assistant

**Responsibilities**
- Daily Duties include heating food, preparing vegetables, starches, cutting fruit, portioning, dishwashing, and delivering food to the classrooms.
- Responsible for assisting Cook prepare meals and snacks for children with special dietary needs
- Ensure safe food storage and disposal, including maintaining temperature logs.
- Complies with all health regulations and company’s best practice
- Follow proper washing and sanitizing procedures for all dishware after collection from classrooms
- Upkeep kitchen cleaning schedule, including dishwashing, daily, weekly, and monthly duties
- Duties and responsibilities may change from time to time on the needs of the daycare centers.

**What you need**
- 1 - 2 years of Kitchen Assistant related experience
- High School diploma/GED equivalency required
- Current Food Handler Certification or willing to get
- Experience in a daycare environment would be an asset.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driver’s abstract.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Require clean criminal record check
- Ability to push, pull and lift up to 45 pounds
