Facility Manager - Escarpment Renewables (Grimsby, ON)

**Responsibilities**:
In the position of Facility Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of Escarpment Renewables anaerobic digestion facility located in Grimsby, ON. You will be responsible for tracking and reporting on key operating measurables including productivity, material inventory, digester status and facility uptime. You will be required to prepare budgets and track/measure performance with respect to approved budget. The Facility Manager will oversee personnel issues, such as hiring, training, and discipline. You will implement growth plans as well as manage contract compliance and customer relationships. The manager is responsible to manage Ministry of Labour and Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) compliance and to ensure compliance with Miller Waste Policies and Procedures. You will strive for continuous improvement to the overall performance of the site. In this position you will be encouraged to develop an in-depth knowledge of anaerobic digestion, organics pre-processing, and best management practices.
**Requirements**:
- Ontario Post-Secondary Education in Environmental Science, Biology or Engineering and/or supervisory experience in a process environment would be considered an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude, understanding of SCADA controls systems and “hands-on” work experience
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills using common sense approach
- Able to work with mínimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Superior organization skills, ability to multi-task
- Strong leadership qualities
- Working knowledge of organic processing, anaerobic digestion, composting, and waste management industry
- Customer service driven
- Experience operating heavy equipment would be an asset
- Proficient and confident in using Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and MS Teams
