**Job Description**:
**POSITION PURPOSE**:
Reporting to the Manager, Housing Strategic Initiatives, is responsible for researching, evaluating and analyzing services and programs in order to identify best practices; analyzing and making recommendations on legislative interpretation; reviewing financial and statistical reports; monitoring service delivery compliance; recommending efficiency and effectiveness strategies and initiatives; assisting in the development and implementation of new service initiatives; and participating in cross-functional project teams to implement services and programs.

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Gathers necessary information on related issues; analyzes data and prepares statistical reports.
- Administers effective service contract management, monitoring and reporting practices.
- Reviews financial and statistical reports and performance indicators and prepares analysis and recommendations.
- Assists in the coordination of and participation in cross-functional project teams to develop and implement priorities and programs.
- Develops program policies and implementation strategies on housing policies and initiatives.
- Assists in the development and implementation of new service initiatives, including their funding, communication, administration, and evaluation.
- Responsible for the maintenance of program and administration manuals.
- Prepares reports, briefing notes, background materials and presentations for the Manager.
- Performs other duties, as assigned, in accordance with Branch and Department objectives.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Successful completion of a University Degree in Social Science, Social Work, Planning and Urban Studies, Business/Public Administration or a related discipline or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three (3) years experience working in a social service or housing environment with responsibilities for planning, policy/program development, analysis, program and project management.
- Knowledge and understanding of human services policies and/or programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of social research and evaluation methods, including preparing detailed reports and proposals.
- Knowledge and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including customer focus, communication, collaboration and personal ownership.
