**Pay Range**:$50-60/hour private lessons

**Academic Term**:2023-2024 Fall Semester

**Start Date**:September 9, 2023

**Additional Information**:
The Oscar Peterson School of Music is looking for a dynamic Voice Instructor specializing in for providing high quality voice instruction to children. The main duties and responsibilities of the Instructor will be:

- Delivering high-quality private lessons to students.
- Introduction of RCM curriculum/examinations required for students.
- Focusing on all aspects of singing, technical and musical.
- Assisting with recruitment and retention of students in the School’s signature MusicEnrichment Program.

Schedule to be discussed. Minimum required of Saturday and one weekday within the time ranges below:

- Saturdays; 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
- Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays & Thursdays; 3:30 pm - 9 pm

**Job Requirements**:
**What We're Looking For**:

- A Bachelor of Music degree in music education or performance; Master of Music preferred (or equivalent).
- At least 5 years' individual teaching experience.
- Specific experience working with young voices with a strong understanding of physiological development.
- RCM Teacher Certification preferred.
- A proven track record as a successful Music Educator for young students.
- Experience working with children from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds.
- Thorough knowledge of RCM Voice Series.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, disciplined and goal oriented.
- Strong passion for working with young students.
- A team player who is interested in contributing to the community and culture of School.

**Additional Requirements**:

- A valid Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
