Asbestos Abatement Technician

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

WINMAR Grande Prairie is HIRING Water Restoration and Asbestos Abatement Technicians

This is a full-time, permanent Water and/or Asbestos Abatement position.

**Wage**:$22.50-30.00/hour
- Health and Dental Benefits, as well as wage bonuses may apply.
- Wage is based on experience and certifications.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Skills & Experience**:

- More than 1 year experience as a water and/or abatement technician in property restoration
- Able to complete required documentation (eg. safety paperwork, client authorization paperwork, photos, listings, reports, sketches, moisture readings, ACM sampling, ICC sampling, receipt/ invoice submission)
- Able to supervise & instruct general labourers in a positive, constructive manner.

**Training & Certifications**:

- Current Alberta Asbestos Worker certificate and/or current IICRC WRT certificate.
- Current Standard First Aid, Level C CPR & AED
- CSTS-09 or the equivalent courses in CSTS 2020 (Do you know it’s fast and free through the ACSA?)

**Basics**:

- Clean criminal record, with no pending charges
- Have steel-toed boots and cut-resistant work gloves.

**Driving**:

- Full Class 5 Alberta driver’s license
- Clean driver’s abstract for the past 3 years and are at least 25 years of age
- Experience driving larger vehicles (eg. cargo or cube vans)

**Availability**:

- Able to participate in an on-call schedule.
- Able to work out of town during the week, as needed, home on weekends.

**Salary**: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
