To organize, manage and co-ordinate the functions of the Publications and Customer Training department to deliver high quality technical publications and training courses in accordance with contractual commitments and established schedules and budgets.

Meet and exceed the productivity targets for Publications and Customer Training activities.

Manage and develop the expertise of the department to maximize the utilization of internal technical resources.

Manage conflicting priorities with fixed resources and deadlines

Key Accountabilities:

- Co-ordinate and prioritize the resources of the Publications and Customer Training group to ensure on-time, on-budget high-quality deliverables as per contractual obligations;
- Assess and interpret customer’s document and training needs and System requirements and translate them into functional requirements for the group;
- Work with diverse departments and become involved in all phases of project delivery as required to ensure proper coordination of all support materials and services;
- Manage the pertinent work processes to ensure on-time deliveries with a rigorous emphasis on continuous improvement in productivity, cost effectiveness and quality;
- Manage proposal inputs, quotations, specifications and statements of work;
- Provide leadership to maintain strong, cohesive work teams, to deliver high quality, cost effective services consistent with customer needs;
- Train direct reports on SOP’s, WI’s and other work aspects as required;
- Motivate and appraise the performance of Publications and Training staff.

Key Requirements:

- B. Sc. In Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years supervisory and/or management experience
- Excellent knowledge of industry and technology.
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
- Strong organization and negotiating skills.
- Experience managing a team
- Experience managing multiple projects
