Prestige Recruiting Solutions has partnered with our client to recruit for a **Inventory Control** **Associate** based in **Mississauga, ON**. Our client is a large multinational leader in the manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution of a wide range of food and beverage ingredients.


Reporting to the Inventory Control Manager, the individual will be responsible to manage and improve the inventory accuracy for the company. The Inventory Control (Cycle Count) Associate will be responsible to complete multiple cycle counts on an annual basis ensuring inventory accuracy. The individual will be responsible to identify, investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies using various reports. This position will work closely with Shipping and Receiving, Quality and other teams to manage all inventory (incoming, current, and damaged) efficiently and effectively.


**Responsibilities**:
**Cycle Count**
- Ongoing cycle counts (weight and unit quantity) to verify, correct and adjust inventory (entire inventory
- including partials, double reach locations); will utilize ASC to thoroughly investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Work with the Distribution and Logistics Manager to identify opportunities for improvement around slotting and put away logic in the facility.
- Must reprint and affix any required license plates to ensure accurate inventory at each location
- Perform physical inventory counts during Mock Recalls & during actual Recall situation
- Continual use of handheld RF Scanner to efficiently verify, track and modify product quantities by location
- Review Control Bill forms to process and complete the disposal of incoming product or current inventory that is damaged, expired, or contaminated; responsible to dispose of dry products only
- Verify all item codes and product quantities through License Plate and Control Bill
- Move and dispose of product into specified disposal bin; Any product infestations must be removed from the facility immediately
- Control Bills from CDM for product that a customer will no longer purchase must be authorized by VP of Operations
- Control Bill will be signed off following disposal of product and returned to Inventory Control Manager
- Utilize various reports (lost pallets report, lost in transit reports, etc.) to identify, investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies; will physically search a specific location/area to locate lost product
- Request/create inventory management related signage and labels
- Assist warehouse team members to resolve minor inventory issues; Attend team meetings to communicate ongoing issues, resolutions, and opportunity to receive feedback
- Cross training in all Inventory Control functions to cover team member vacation or absence
- Complete all other duties as assigned by Inventory Control Manager
- Responsible for following Food Safety and Quality requirements as per Prerequisite programs, HACCP plans, CCP monitoring and SQF code.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, GMP’s and HACCP requirements

**Applicant Requirements**:

- High school diploma or higher combined with industry experience required
- Food industry / pharmaceutical experience considered an asset
- Experience in inventory role required
- Must have strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must have Reach/Double Reach Forklift experience
- Proficiency and advanced skills in computer programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.


**Salary**: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
