**The Community Services department has an opportunity for a Victim Services Caseworker on a relief basis. This is a police-based program that is situated at the Kelowna Regional Detachment, RCMP.**

The RCMP Victim Services Caseworker responds to police, community and self-initiated referrals to assist victims and witnesses of crime and trauma. Our team offers crisis intervention, emotional support, practical assistance and community/program referrals for individuals with identified need. This position also entails responding to RCMP call-out requests to assist police in supporting victims/witnesses in a wide range of incidents including sudden deaths, fatal/serious vehicle crashes, next-of-kin notifications (loss of life), robberies, domestic violence, physical assaults, etc. As this program provides emergency support at all times, incumbent availability must be flexible as there is potential for short notice call outs.
