Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Involvement in sample preparation, test setup/fixturing, test execution, data collection & analysis
- Reviewing and understanding of test requirements per relevant standards and specifications
- Technical report writing containing specimen description, observations / test results per standard or performance requirements
- Coordinating equipment calibration per Element quality procedures
- Purchasing materials and maintaining equipment
- Typical product evaluation methods: compression, tension, torsion, displacement, impact, stock, vibration and thermal exposure

Skills / Qualifications:

- Completion of a College program in Engineering or Technology
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, controllers and data acquisition systems
- Experience with common hand and power tools (ability to weld is an asset)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working in an engineering or industrial environment
- Ability to read and understand customer technical specifications
- Other duties as assigned
