- based garment manufacturer. We engineer, develop and produce fashion garments from concept to finished items for our in-house product lines and for other fashion brands.

Our mission is to produce high-quality, ethical & sustainable apparel in Canada using the latest in apparel technology and lean production methodologies.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT TASKS**
- Produce technical sketches
- Efficiently manage pre-production and approve raw materials and notions, product construction, dimensions and fit, colors and packaging,
- Coordinate with creative and production leads to meet quality standards and timeline goals.
- Create flat drawings for proofing purposes for clients.
- Execute and maintain fit and quality consistency in all product categories.
- Methodically determine critical dimensions of design for subsequent production
- Perform fit sessions with merchandising on body forms and live models.
- Work closely with a team to implement, review and troubleshoot manufacturing processes and production demand increases.
- Collaborate with sample makers to advise on best sample construction and finishes that fit our customer needs and price points while maintaining the design integrity and functionality of the garment.

**SKILL & QUALIFICATIONS**
- College or degree within the apparel industry including fashion design
- 3+ years of experience in product development and design experience.
- Strong working knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, fit and pattern development
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
- Highly organized, analytical and detail oriented professional
- Strong technical troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize work and deliver results with excellent follow-through
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Must be flexible and able to take direction and have willingness to learn
- Hours: Full-time, permanent position (minimum 40 to 44 hours per week)
