Finishing Supervisor

Reporting to Senior Leadership:
Scope:
The Finishing Supervisor oversees the finishing trades team to ensure schedule-specific requirements are achieved or exceeded to ensure the highest quality project is constructed.

Primary Functions:

- Providing technical management and project leadership in monitoring and maintaining the project construction finishing schedule.
- Coordinating and supervising multiple trades, including scheduling and planning crew activities for the project.
- Ensuring compliance with Lisgar’s Health and Safety Policy at all times and maintaining a clean, safe work environment to ensure the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are enforced and maintained.
- Ensuring “as-built” drawings are updated on an ongoing basis by all trades.
- Carrying out daily site inspections of all work and issuing directions to Contractors for any deficiencies or errors.
- Attending and documenting scheduled Contractor and Consultant meetings as well as project meetings.
- Informing the leadership of any errors, discrepancies, or omissions in relation to the Consultant’s working drawings.
- Liaising with contractor site foreman as required to ensure rough ins and inspections are carried out as per schedule.
- Coordinating and directing independent testing and inspections as required.
- Completing additional and ad-hoc projects and duties as required.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years working as a Finishing Supervisor or Site Superintendent on residential high-rise buildings with over 100 suites.
- Construction Management certificate/diploma or Trade Qualification is considered an asset.
- Must have valid driver’s licence.
- Must have working knowledge of interior building finishes, including mechanical and electrical.
- Demonstrated understanding of construction terms, scheduling, and planning concepts.
- Detail-oriented individual with a dedication to high-quality workmanship.
- Strong customer service approach with the ability to problem solve effectively and efficiently.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to manage a team of finishing trades.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and stay composed while working under pressure, leading by example and maintaining a high standard of professionalism.

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
