- We are looking for a Site Safety Officer to join our culturally welcoming team around the Saskatoon area. You will be responsible for the safety supervision of an electrical crew in the Saskatoon area. It is to be understood that your role may change as dictated by job requirements._
- Shift: 4 to 5 days a week - 10 to 12 hour days (dictated by project needs)_

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work in conjunction with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Corporate Safety Manager, and the client to properly implement, monitor, and report Flyer Electric’s Safety programs as laid out by the project and corporate requirements
- Incident follow up and investigations
- Organize and maintain all safety documents, training requirements, orientations, compliance, planning, and procedure development, etc, as required to support the project needs
- Comply with Company’s corporate Health, Safety, and Environmental manual
- Ensure project safety, profitability, schedule adherence and customer satisfaction
- Ensure field work is executed in compliance with project safety plan, and customer requirements
- Identify and implement initiatives to improve project performance, to achieve net improvements for key performance indices
- Perform safety inspections and audits
- Ensure training and PPE requirements are met for the project
- Develop, implement, and monitor all necessary safe work practices and procedures
- Attend and lead daily/weekly site meetings
- Maintain clean driving abstract and Drug and Alcohol clearance
- Maintain a professional image and a high level of service with customers and co-workers during all contact, displaying positive behavior, attitude, and workmanship habits
- Lead others by example
- Any other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- National Construction Safety Officer designation is required
- Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment
- Minimum of 5 years in a similar role with experience in the construction industry
- Knowledge of construction industry in drawings, specifications, safety, equipment, and materials
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and an aptitude for adopting to technology
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license
