Segra has assembled a world-class team of specialists in agronomy, molecular genetics, plant tissue culture, and regulatory compliance to support this vision.

Position Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Lead year-end audit preparations and act as the primary contact with external auditors.
- Review and approve T2 filings for three entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS on a monthly basis.
- Manage compliance efforts as we expand internationally
- Manage quarterly filings for QST, GST/HST, WCB, and annual filings for EHT and US entity registrations.
- Oversee treasury and cash flow management to optimize liquidity and financial stability.
- Approve accounts payable weekly and payroll bi-weekly/semi-monthly, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts, comparing against actual performance monthly.
- Conduct financial modeling as needed to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain capital tables and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Direct financial planning and budget management functions, recommending benchmarks for performance measurement.
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget, providing insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with department managers to develop five-year business plans and establish goals and objectives.
- Assist in establishing departmental policies, procedures, and organizational structures to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Serve on planning and policy-making committees to contribute financial expertise and insights.
- Support financial audits, providing recommendations for procedural improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate finance department staff to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Fulfill other duties and responsibilities consistent with the role of VP of Finance as requested by the CEO.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA, CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
- Extensive knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and reporting standards.
- Proven track record of strategic financial planning, budget management, and financial analysis.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience in learning and understanding complex businesses, particularly in the cannabis industry.
- Proactive communication and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience with fundraising and capital markets is a plus.
- Proficiency in implementing new financial software and streamlining financial operations.
- Ability to provide financial insight and recommendations.
- Cross-border and international experience, including structuring international and domestic businesses.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and working with fast-growing companies.

Pay: $130,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
