Lafarge Construction is based in Edmonton, AB and is currently seeking a seasonal, full-time Utility Operator**Position Description**
- The accountabilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Operate a loader / backhoe / skidsteer safely and efficiently
- Partake in daily maintenance and complete repairs as required
- Complete groundwork / labour
- Understand road construction best practices, grades, overall construction awareness
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping
- Assist with other duties as required from time to time

**Qualifications**

**The successful applicant will possess the following**
- Willing to learn and take direction
- Must be able to communicate well with co‐workers
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a preference given to those holding a class 3 with air, or higher
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
- Possess good interpersonal and communications skills to deal effectively with suppliers, clients, co‐workers and management
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends, nights, and early starts (irregular hours) when necessary
- Knowledge of City of Edmonton Specifications
