**SALARY: $21.06 to $25.14/hour**

**HOURS: Day shifts (Monday to Friday)**

**Position Summary**:
The Unit Clerk works as a member of a designated clinical services team to provide administrative, clerical and receptionist support services to the unit and associated clinical programs.

Participates in service and hospital-wide activities and programs that model and promote a safe and healthy patient-centered environment and that contribute to quality improvement and risk management initiatives.

**Requirements**:
**Education and Experience**
- Secondary School Diploma with preference for post-secondary training in office administration or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Medical Terminology Certificate

**Skills and Abilities**
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Internet and Microsoft Explorer and of medical terminology and procedure types
- Demonstrated excellence in spoken and written communication
- Able to multitask and prioritize with mínimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure
- Demonstrated work experience with focus and ability to relate in a tactful and sensitive manner with staff, patients and the general public
- Ability to organize work tasks and work independently
