Job Summary

**General Accountability**:

**Primary Purpose of Position**:
The Project Manager is critical to the success of our organization. This person leads all aspects of our projects. You are key in planning and coordinating multiple projects at the same time.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The Project Manager has many hats to wear. This includes but are not limited to:

- **Client**:Primary contact with our clients during all phases of the project. Ensure we are always targeting a win/win solution.
- **Leadership**: Always demonstrate strong work ethic and standards. Provide leadership to the execution teams. Communicate with the client on a regular basis from award to completion of turn-over documents.
- **Estimating**: Supporting the estimating department by providing input regarding manpower, equipment, and material requirements for the projects you are involved in. Review estimates for accuracy and completeness.
- **Scheduling**: Review with Project Superintendent the project schedules and ensure they are updated on a regular basis. Reviews and monitors schedule and communicates planned vs actuals with our client.
- **Material Procurement**:Communicate with project coordinators and superintendents to create accurate bill of materials and material requisition requests.
- **Contract Administration**: Maintain open communications with the contracts admin to ensure that all contractual items are captured, and our risk is minimized.
- **Cost Control and Tracking**:Communicate with our cost controller to ensure that all financial data is current and trends can be monitored. Actions are initiated on negative trends.
- **Documentation**: Maintain project documentation, control drawings and revisions, control and maintain contract change documentation (CIC’s, SI’s, RFI’s), assist in all QA/QC documentation and records, maintains correspondence with clients and vendors.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
Experience: 5+ years of Industrial Project or Industrial Construction Experience

Qualification: - Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering degree, graduate of engineering tech program with 5-10 years of experience in construction project management ,technical diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional training will be provided as required. PMP designation will be considered an asset.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel as needed.
- Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, superior organization and time management abilities, superior interpersonal skills, strong Leadership skills, a positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.

N/B Applicant must have the right to work in Canada. POINTS ATHABASCA IS UNABLE TO OFFER SPONSORSHIP AT THIS TIME.

Schedule: This role will primarily be stationed in the Saskatoon Office,You will Fly in Monday & Fly Out Thursday. Time at the Saskatoon office may also be required depending on the project.

40 hours per week while in Saskatoon office; Hours when on Site are 11 hours per day.

Travel: Travel to remote job sites will be required.

Must possess a valid Class 5 drivers’ license.
