Vancouver, Canada Fresh Direct Produce Full time

As one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, Fresh Direct Produce is looking for a savvy Field Retail Merchandiser to join our growing team

**Primary responsibilities include**:
TACTICAL, STRATEGY, AND COMMUNICATION
- Following planograms, create visually appealing displays of diverse Fresh Direct produce items and ensure proper rotation of products to attract customers and encourage sales.
- Inspect incoming produce delivery for freshness, quality, and adherence to food safety standards, and proactively check inventory levels and place customer orders in a timely manner
- Assist customers with questions, provide information about products, and offer recommendations.
- Determine ideal produce items and prices for the customer to maximize sales and profitability while remaining competitive.
- Plan and execute promotions, discounts, and marketing strategies
- Analyze sales data, trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and growth in the produce department.
- Communicate and build relationships with customer's employees to ensure that we are exceeding the customer's expectations.
- Ensure to follow up and liaise with any customer issues

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Fluent in spoken and written English
- A min of 1-year solid hands-on experience working with fresh produce is ideal
- Possess good sales and negotiation skills and able to multitask
- Effective interpersonal and relationship-building is key
- Able to lift a max of 30lbs
- Effective business writing skills and computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs
