We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Care Director to join our team. As the Child Care Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our child care facility and ensuring the well-being and development of the children in our care. **The organization** We are a licensed home child care agency that provides high quality services in Simcoe County and Region of Peel. **Duties and Responsibilities**
- This individual would oversee employees and home child care programs to ensure compliance and high quality services within the agency.
- Is a resource and provides training and leadership to agency team
- Has foresight to proactively identify and resolve problems about the business and ensure that business is driving forward
- Organizes schedules and initiate daily team meetings. Adds value in management meetings, always prepared and proactive with recommendations and solutions.
- Focuses on the key priorities for the agency and is able to juggle multiple tasks/projects
- Must have organizational skills to ensure deadlines are being met
- _Ensure compliance._ Adhere to all regulations and legislated standards, including Ministry of Education Licensing standards, Building Opportunities program statement implementation policy, Public Health guidelines, and College of Early Childhood Educators Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
- _Provide robust, reflective, and responsive leadership. _You will support continuous professional development opportunities for educators. You will inspire and provide support to ensure high performance from your staff. You will recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate assigned staff within the mandate of a Collective Agreement. You will coordinate staff scheduling and coverage as appropriate for service delivery.
- _Manage operations. _ You will contribute to policies and procedure development, updates, and staff adherence. You will communicate with the agencies external partners and participate in professional network meetings, conferences, etc. You will monitor enrollment to ensure the site is at capacity and communicate with Simcoe County regarding subsidies, waiting lists, and statistics. You will complete serious occurrence reports as required.
- Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians through effective communication.
- Stay informed about provincial licensing requirements and ensure the daycare adheres to all regulations.

**Administrative**:

- Analyzes areas to be cost effective and puts into place processes to do so when appropriate without compromise to the customer
- Focuses on the agencies enrolment, following up on all leads/inquiries and waitlist to successful closes.
- Plans & implements the agencies Marketing plan
- Completes all required administrative tasks accurately meeting all deadlines.
- Ensuring written communications are professionally done, well presented, checked for accuracy and thoroughness & thoughts/input organized.
- Plans, manages and executes projects on time and on budget
- Completing payroll
- Applying, calculating and reconciling funding
- Working with Excel, Word and Adobe
- Is resourceful in presenting sound decisions and recommendations to the Director of Education using the available tools (power tool, CFEL operations manual, etc.)
- Applies logic, rational and objectivity in all recommendations/decisions, keeping in mind the consequences of these decisions and impact to the organization.
