**Position Overview**

This position is part of the OSP (Ontario Structured Psychotherapy) provincial initiative.

The psychotherapist offers triage and accept referrals to adult clients who suffer from mental illness (mostly mood and anxiety disorders). The psychotherapist will assess clients for suitability for CBT psychological intervention.

The psychotherapist will work in collaboration with the Royal hospital and other agencies in the Champlain area and will be required to participate in training.

This program may be deployed in our three sites in Prescott-Russell (Hawkesbury, Rockland, Casselman).

The psychotherapist will complete clinical work, attend and fulfill all the requirements and will be required to complete all data collection related to this program and facilitate its implementation.
- Triage and accept referrals via agreed protocols within the OSP CBT service.
- Assess clients for suitability for OSP psychological intervention.
- Respond to telephone inquiries regarding the Central Intake/Triage Service and triage to appropriate internal or external resources.
- Formulate, implement and evaluate intake process.
- Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary, conveying CBT and other psychological formulations with sensitivity.
- Complete all requirements relating to data collection within the service.
- Have working knowledge of provincial and national telemedicine standards, policies and guidelines
- Provide advice and consultation to other professionals / individuals / groups/community partners/stakeholders
- Participate in OSP research projects on an occasional basis taking an active role in data collection and developing reports.
- Works in a manner that complies with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies and procedures of the Royal & HGH.
- Ensure a work environment that is conducive to the Royal’s & HGH’s Anti-Racism, Harassment, & Discrimination Free Workplace Policy.

**Criminal Check**

As a pre-condition of employment:

- All new HGH employees will be required to obtain and provide a satisfactory Police Records Check dated within six (6) months from the date of issue.
- As of now, HGH will require all employees, physicians, learners, contractors and volunteers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

**What we are looking for**
- Minimum of graduate level degree (Masters) in a health-related/clinical field with at least five years of experience (direct service provision) in a health care setting.
- Registered in good standing with a Regulatory College in Ontario is mandatory.
- Autonomous practice is mandatory
- Expertise in cognitive-behaviour therapy (CBT) and previous certified CBT training an asset
- Experience working in an interdisciplinary service delivery model is mandatory.
- Knowledge of applicable legislated Acts (i.e. MHA, PHIPA, The Health Care Consent Act).
- Profound knowledge of mental illness
- Good understanding of rural issues.
- Possess a working knowledge of both official languages.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license, use of vehicle and insurance.
- Be able to offer services to different satellite sites (Hawkesbury, Casselman, Rockland)
- Demonstrated experience in measurement and evaluation, research methodologies, clinical informatics, and health experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
