**Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Hire and training of cleaning and laundry staff.
- Supervise and co-ordinate cleaning activities of team members.
- Inspect to ensure safety and cleanliness standards with daily infection control duties to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all residents, team members and visitors.
- Recommend or arrange for additional housekeeping services.
- Assist cleaning staff team members in performing duties.
- Co-ordinate work activities with other departments
- Establish work schedules.
- Ordering of cleaning supplies

The **Housekeeping Supervisor works** on the floor and with the team to support the overall cleanliness of resident suites and common spaces in the building. The housekeeping team is responsible to ensure the best quality of cleanliness for the resident’s suites, general safety, and exceptional customer service for them and their guests. The housekeeping supervisor is also responsible for ensuring that the laundry department is functioning at a high level of service and quality.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in providing supervisory and housekeeping services
- Successful completion of secondary school or equivalent an asset.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Demonstrated empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors.
- Effective interpersonal relationship and conflict resolution skills
- Must have a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Must be able to operate related equipment.
- Must be fluent in English

**Working Conditions include**

Job is located in Barrhaven.

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
