**Job Purpose**:
The Shunt Driver is responsible for internal company deliveries and the pickup of production materials from suppliers.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
The following is a list of the essential duties and responsibilities of this job. The tasks and the time spent performing each task may vary as business needs require. Ontario Drive & Gear Limited maintains the right to modify job duties and responsibilities at its discretion.

**Essential Duties**:

- Deliver production materials between all plants
- Pick up production materials from local suppliers
- Ensure that the truck is properly maintained and perform safety checks as required
- Load, unload and store products in a designated area
- Safely operate vehicle and machinery in a safe and courteous manner
- Comply with the OHSA regulations as well as company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
- Any other duties as assigned.

**Educational Requirements**:

- Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma (or experience equivalent)

**Other Education/Certification/Training**:

- Valid Driver’s License
- Clean driver abstract

**Other Education/Certification/Training preferred**:

- Use of various types of material handling equipment
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)

**Work Experience preferred**:

- Previous shunt driving experience

- Ability to work independently

- Effectively managing one’s time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently.

**Physical Requirements**:
Physical activities of the job include:

- Lifting
- Sitting for long periods of time
- Walking

**Working conditions**:
This role requires travelling during the day. There is mínimal exposure to fumes, noxious odors, dusts, lighting extremes or any other adverse working conditions.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
