**Status: One Regular Full Time position & One**
**Contract Full Time position, ending December 31, 2024**

**Salary Range**:
**$73,482 to $91,853**
**per annum**

**Hours of work: 35 hours per week**

**Who we are**:The Finance Division within Corporate Services’ mandate is to enable success through financial stewardship and business partnership.

**What you will do in this role**:

- Collaborate with the Senior Financial Analyst to support program clients on operating and capital related matters
- Maintain financial modeling, director reporting and key financial data on a regular basis
- Review expenditures and conducts required accounting activities (accruals, deferred account reconciliations, journal entries etc.) to ensure the full representations of financials for each reporting period
- Maintain proper documentation for project related transactions and works with external auditors for auditing responses
- Perform monthly billings, with accuracy and proper backups, to ensure timely recoveries
- Monitor spending and provides financial advice to ensure accounts are in a good financial position
- Perform special financial reporting/analytical projects
- Assist in the development of annual program budget by working closely with Senior Financial analyst
- Conduct annual national benchmarking data collections and on-going research on the best municipal financial practices
- Other duties as assigned

**What the role requires**:

- Finance/Accounting degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Sound business acumen and critical mindset
- Strong computer skills (specifically MS Office-Excel, Word and PeopleSoft Financials)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, planning and organizational skills
- Great customer relationship skills
- Knowledge of applicable legislation, regulations and standards as well as municipal issues, services and processes considered an asset
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias

In this role you will have the ability to work remotely and attend on-site when required based on operational requirements at the 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton worksite. The frequency of on-site activities may vary on a weekly basis and based on operational requirements. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario.
