**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead a **Montessori classroom** following authentic Montessori principles.
- Create and maintain a **prepared environment** that encourages independence, exploration, and learning.
- Guide children through the **Montessori curriculum**, fostering their individual growth and development.
- Observe and document each child’s progress, adapting lessons to meet their needs.
- Foster **positive relationships** with children, parents, and colleagues to support a collaborative learning community.
- Ensure a **safe, respectful, and inclusive** classroom atmosphere.
- Follow all **licensing and regulatory requirements** as outlined by Alberta childcare standards.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- **Montessori Certification** (AMI or MACTE accredited).
- Minimum **2 years of experience** as a Montessori Guide in an early childhood setting.
- **Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 1, 2, or 3** certification (or willingness to obtain if required).
- Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and child development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current **First Aid & CPR Certification**.
- Clear **Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check**.
