Canadian Adventure Charters are developing our Charter Adventures, Submarine Dive Expeditions, Exploration, Treasure & Shipwreck Recovery, Climate Change-Global Warming Research, Underwater Film/ Documentary Entertainment and promoting Newfoundland & Labrador and The Northwest Passage, at charter destinations within our selected charter operations loop to Spain, Canary Islands, Bahamas and Fort Lauderdale.

Work Experience and Marine Certificates Requirements:
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht

All applicants must have previous experience in working Artic or Antarctica, MED climate conditions

Minimum 5 Year’s Experience in Heavy Marine Offshore Commercial Industry

Minimum 5 Years Experience in Private Yachting Adventure/Exploration Industry

Submarine Pilots
- Technicians for 3 person Mini Submarine Safety Management/Pilot-Operators Training Course, Certificates & Licenses will be provide.

a Sub Pilot/Marine Technician to help manage and operate our fleet of manned submersibles and support vessels. We are looking for a committed and competent individual with combination of strong mechanical and interpersonal skills who can work on sensitive marine equipment, perform regular maintenance and operate complex systems to support dive operations (this is not an ocean sciences or marine research position). This is an excellent opportunity for a high-energy professional who is interested in a long-term position with a growing company.

**Requirements**:
Have current Canadian Citizenship and valid driver’s license.

Ability to work in confined space, fit through 28” diameter ring and be able to lift 50+ lbs.

Must have strong analytical and communication skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Experience operating submersible vehicles (manned and unmanned).

Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office and experience with hydrographic survey and charting software packages, including Hypack/Hysweep.

Demonstrated competence in operation of half-duplex communication devices.

Demonstrate basic seamanship and safe operation of small boats.

Able to travel for domestic and foreign work, approx. 60% of the year or as required.

Willingness and ability to work offshore for weeks at a time as required.

Positive and energetic with good sense of humor.

Physically fit and enjoy working outside in variable weather conditions.

Professional, dependability, and detail oriented.

Desired

Working knowledge of Electrical systems, Electronics, Hydraulics, Oxygen Systems, and Pneumatics.

Knowledge of submersible and oceanographic systems strongly desired.

Rigging or Crane experience.

Open Water SCUBA certification.

A Bachelor’s degree in Hydrographic Survey, Oceanography, Marine Sciences or related field.

Key Accountabilities:
Maintain submersibles and ensure all systems to be in complete working order and in compliance with all technical requirements.

Execute the planned maintenance of submersible systems and maintain complete technical records and logs.

Follow and adhere to established checklists for pre and post-dive operations.

Install and maintain electrical devices and other sensitive components onto submersibles.

Carrying out general shop operations team duties as required.

Support shore-side and topside operations during missions in local and remote environments.
