**MISSION**

The Grain Grader / Inspector will have the responsibility to, under broad supervision, render inspection services which are timely, accurate, safe, legal, ethical, and effective. In the absence of the Operations Manager, the Grain Grader / Inspector may perform applicable tasks as defined by the Office Manager.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Order taking and / or review of field instructions.
- Assess all grains to CGC standards and willingness to learn other grain grading standards. Such as, but not limited to, FGIS, ISO, etc.
- To attend commodity material movements involving loading and unloading of trucks, containers, rail cars or vessels.
- To perform routine equipment calibration, verification, and function checks.
- To perform, by specified methodology, visual observation, volume measurement, temperature measurement, and sampling of commodity materials contained or conveyed in trucks, containers, rail cars or vessels.
- To run express lab equipment such as, but not limited to, Falling Number by Hagberg method and mycotoxin by Elisa method.
- To verify and communicate the results obtained, and to make the entries into the appropriate media, whether print or electronic, required to ensure the validity and traceability of the information.
- To maintain work areas, records, and equipment in a clean, organized, and functional condition.
- To monitor the availability of the supplies needed for the above processes, and to make any need for such supplies known to the Operations Manager and / or Office Manager.
- To carry out the above responsibilities, and all others which may be assigned, in a manner demonstrating support for and adherence to the Company’s Quality Management System, and to exercise good judgment, common sense, and diplomacy in so doing.

**QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**
- Proficient in Canadian Grain Grading
- One to two (1-2) years related experience preferred
- Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established deadlines
- Detail oriented with a dedication to the quality control and quality assurance process
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Computer literate
- Ability to multi-task and properly execute multiple simultaneous assignments without sacrificing efficiency or quality of the work
- Physically able to do the work required and must be able to work various hours and days to fulfill staffing requirements
- Should have a positive attitude and the ability to work and communicate with people of diverse personalities and backgrounds
- Must have a valid driver's license and regular access to a vehicle

**Salary**: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 48 per week
