**Clothing Room Volunteer Description**

Below is an outline of the description for a **clothing room volunteer** here at The Salvation Army - Community and Family Services. I hope it provides a clear understanding of why you are so valuable to us.

**Report To**: **Avery Breau** (Program Coordinator)

**Tasks may include (but are not limited to)**:

- Sort incoming bags of clothing, household items, linens and children’s books.
- Fill up clothing room with clothes, household items, linens and children’s books
- Refold/rehang clothing to keep the room tidy
- Discard all garbage and broken items
- Sweep/clean as needed
- Laundry as needed

**Other possible tasks**:

- Bag produce/grocery items for pantry/storage (e.g. potatoes, rice, carrots, onions, apples, oatmeal,)
- Bag miscellaneous items for pantry/storage (e.g. sugar, tea, coffee, dog food, cat food, juice boxes)
- General sorting/stocking of various items (e.g. food, household items, linens, children’s items, clothing)

Other duties as required

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $0.01 per hour
