**Job Overview**
We are a multi-service and season landscaping and maintenance company in the Quinte area focused on providing quality service.
**Responsibilities**
- Maintain a clean truck and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
- Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle readiness.
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment when necessary for loading and unloading tasks.
**Experience**
- Proven experience in commercial driving is preferred, with a valid commercial driver's license.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations.
- Experience in automotive repair is a plus, enabling quick resolutions to minor vehicle issues.
- Heavy equipment operation experience is beneficial for roles requiring additional machinery handling.
- Forklift operation experience is advantageous for loading and unloading freight efficiently.
**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
