This position will be part of our Printing Sector and In-Store Marketing group. The Printing Sector has over 3,500 employees and 13 state-of-the-art print plants.

**About this opportunity**

Reporting to the Director of Print Operations, the HP Indigo Operator will be responsible for operating the HP Indigo 7000 to fulfill project requirements. The incumbent will be expected to complete all work with an emphasis on productivity, quality, safety and good housekeeping.

**What you will do**
- Load, operate and stage product coming off the HP Indigo equipment;
- Ensure equipment is functioning correctly, quality is acceptable and that productivity levels are maintained;
- Follow job instructions listed on production matrixes;
- Follow all SOP’s and maintain quality standards;
- Manage the quality of the press within pre-defined parameters;
- Replace component parts as required based on quality and/or prescribed replacement schedules;
- Responsible for housekeeping and maintaining a clean, uncluttered work environment;
- Ensure all supplies required to perform functions are readily available;
- Follow all required safety procedures;
- Available for overtime in order to meet our customer needs as required;
- Work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act of Ontario, the Workplace Safety Insurance Act and all other applicable legislated environmental, health & safety regulations;
- Work in compliance with all TC Health & Safety Rules and Safe Operating Procedures;
- Participate in all safety training deemed mandatory by TC for the safe performance of the job;
- Work as part of a team and participate in Continuous Process Improvement efforts;
- Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.

**What you have to offer**
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent;
- Two (2) years’ of digital printing experience with HP Indigo Level 1 (preferred) and Level 2/3 Qualification (an advantage);
- Must be able to set-up, run and fine tune HP Indigo equipment;
- Technical problem-solving skills with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting either to fix a problem or adequately define a solution set to service personnel;
- Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as project matrixes and procedure manuals;
- Ability to write routine forms such as time sheets, summarize run data, etc.;
- Ability to use a wide range of office equipment including a computer and keyboard, telephone, photo copier, etc.;
- Must have strong communication skills (verbal and written, interpersonal work skills and be able to function in a team environment;
- Ability to lift heavy objects (max. 40 lbs) and stand for long periods of time;
- Proven organizational skills and ability to work well in a team environment;
- Commitment to quality and safety;
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.
